PAWS FOR HOPE is ‘A Day for Dogs & Fetching Funds’—a tail-wagging community event that brings together dog lovers, local businesses, and supporters of Ribbon of Hope for a fun-filled day with a meaningful mission. Enjoy dog-focused activities, vendors, food, and helpful training tips from our partner, Kasten’s Dog Training. Most importantly, PAWS FOR HOPE raises funds to support Ribbon of Hope’s free cancer support services, helping ensure that no one faces cancer alone.

What’s a ‘Day for Dogs’ without some fun awards?
Throughout the event, participating dogs will be judged in the following categories. Prizes will be awarded at 11:30! (Must be present to win!)

Rules & Requirements

GENERAL EVENT RULES
  • Dog owner must register and pay on-line through our website prior to event – limited to 50 dogs only!
  • Must submit proof of current vaccines in order to attend the event – see ‘VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS’ for how to submit  
  • Owner/handler is responsible for cleaning up after their dog while on property.
  • Dogs must ALWAYS be on a leash unless kenneled or asked to do so by the Ring Steward.
    • 4ft–6ft standard fixed-length leashes required - NO retractable leashes!
  • If your dog is considered out of control or a risk to the safety other dogs and attendees by event judges, fellow competitors, volunteers, or spectators, you and your dog will be asked to leave the event and a refund will not be issued.
  • Please be respectful towards other dogs and attendees.
    • NO nose-to-nose contact.
    • DO NOT assume other dogs or humans want to socialize with your dog.
    • Give other dogs space and don’t allow your dog to crowd another dog.
  • By attending this event, you acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken and used for promotional materials by Ribbon of Hope, including on our website and social media. 
DOG VENDOR RULES
  • Dog Vendors must be dog-related businesses offering products and/or services.
  • Dog Vendors may purchase a booth space for $50 to sell products and display information about your products/services by registering through the form at the bottom of this page. Must bring your own table, chair, etc.
  • Due to the nature of this fundraising event, we are unable to accept vendors whose primary focus is the sale or adoption of dogs (including breeders and rescues) as part of our pack this year. We appreciate your understanding and support!
VACCINATION INFORMATION
  • All vaccinations must be administered by a licensed veterinarian for dogs & puppies older than 4 months of age.
  • Vaccination records must show expiration dates for required vaccines.
  • We do not accept titer testing as a substitute for vaccinations.
  • If your dog is unable to be vaccinated for one or more of the required vaccines due to anaphylactic shock, an immunity disorder, or other medical reasons, your veterinarian may issue to us an exemption. Exemption letters must be received directly from your veterinarian’s office:

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

Prior to your dog being granted admittance to our event we require verification of the following vaccines:

  • RABIES
    • all dogs & puppies 4 months and older
    • at least 72 hours prior to arrival
    • administered every 1 to 3 years
  • DISTEMPER
    • all dogs & puppies must have received their first round
    • at least 72 hours prior to arrival
    • administered every 1 to 3 years
  • PARVO
    • all dogs & puppies must have received their first round
    • at least 72 hours prior to arrival
    • administered every 1 to 3 years
  • BORDETELLA
    • all dogs & puppies
    • initial vaccinations or lapsed (expired) vaccinations
    • Oral – at least 7 days prior to arrival
    • Nasal – at least 7 days prior to arrival
    • Venous – at least 7 days prior to arrival
    • Non-lapsed (not expired) vaccines at least 72 hours prior to arrival
    • Administered every year

YOU MUST SHOW PROOF OF YOUR DOG’S VACCINATION RECORDS IN ORDER TO ATTEND THIS EVENT BY DOING ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
