Our PAWS FOR HOPE Dog Fun Show Fundraiser is being held for two reasons.
It offers us an opportunity to be visible, distribute literature, connect with people in the community, and answer questions about our program. The event also offers us the opportunity to “fetch funds” to underwrite the cost of our services.

What’s a ‘Day for Dog’ without some fun awards?
Throughout the event, attending dogs will be judged in the following categories. Prizes will be awarded at 11:30!

• Small & Sassy
• Big & Beautiful
• Fluffiest Coat
• Floppiest Ears
• Best Dressed
• Most Like Their Owner
• Old Timer/Golden Oldie (Dogs 8+ years old)
• Puppy Love (dogs <1 year old)
Rules & Requirements
General Rules
- This is a FUNdraiser, not a dog show.
- Dog owner must register and pay on-line through our website – limited to 50 dogs only!
- Must bring proof of current vaccines the day of event.
- Owner/handler is responsible for cleaning up after their dog while on property
- Dog must always be on a leash unless kenneled or asked to do so by the Ring Steward. 4ft – 6ft standard fixed-length leashes required – NO retractable leashes!
- If your dog is considered out of control/a risk by event judges, fellow competitors, volunteers, or spectators, you and your dog will be asked to leave the event and a refund will not be issued.
- Please be respectful toward other dogs and owners.
- NO nose-to-nose contact.
- DO NOT assume other dogs want to socialize with your dog.
- Give them space and don’t allow your dog to crowd another dog.
By attending this event, you acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken and used for promotional materials by Ribbon of Hope, including on our website and social media.
Vaccination Requirements
RABIES
• all dogs and puppies 4 months and older
• at least 72 hours prior to arrival
• administered every 1 to 3 years
DISTEMPER
• all dogs and puppies must have received their first round
• at least 72 hours prior to arrival
• administered every 1 to 3 years
PARVO
• all dogs and puppies must have received their first round
• at least 72 hours prior to arrival
• administered every 1 to 3 years
BORDETELLA
• all dogs and puppies
• initial vaccinations or lapsed (expired) vaccinations
• Oral – at least 7 days prior to arrival
• Nasal – at least 7 days prior to arrival
• Venous – at least 7 days prior to arrival
• Non-lapsed (not expired) vaccines at least 72 hours prior to arrival
• Administered every year
YOU MUST SHOW PROOF OF YOUR DOG’S VACCINATION RECORDS IN ORDER TO ATTEND THIS EVENT BY DOING ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
• PRIOR TO EVENT
– E-Mail to [email protected] with “ATTN: P4H Committee” in the subject line
– Drop off hard copies to the ROH office at 5230 Beck Drive, Suite 2B, Elkhart, IN 46516
• DAY OF EVENT
– Bring hard copies with you to show at check-in
Vaccination Info
- All vaccinations must be administered by a licensed veterinarian for dogs and puppies older than 4 months of age.
- Vaccination records must show expiration dates for required vaccines.
- We do not accept titer testing as a substitute for vaccinations.
- If your dog is unable to be vaccinated for one or more of the required vaccines due to anaphylactic shock, an immunity disorder, or other medical reasons, your veterinarian may issue to us an exemption. Exemption letters must be received directly from your veterinarian’s office via email to [email protected] with “ATTN: P4H Committee” in the subject line or by mail to 5230 Beck Drive, Suite 2B, Elkhart, IN 46516.
